When heading for Umeda Station of the Subway Midosuji Line from JR Osaka Station, it is convenient to use the Midosuji Gate （御堂筋口改札）at JR Osaka Station.
It takes about 2 minutes from the Midosuji Gate at JR Osaka Station to Umeda Station of the Subway Midosuji Line.

The details are as follows:
STEP
After getting out of the Midosuji Gate, head for the escalator diagonally in front to your right
After getting out of the Midosuji Gate（御堂筋口改札）, head for the escalator diagonally in front to your right.
STEP
After getting off the escalator, go left
After getting off the escalator, go left.
You will see the ticket gate of Umeda Station of the Subway Midosuji Line.
You will see the “Naka-Minami Gate（中南改札）” on its right-hand side, and the “Naka-Kita-Nishi Gate（中北西改札）” on its left-hand side.
